: Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid - 1-2 Days Per Week in the Reading Office)We are a fast-growing security technology company based in Reading, expanding our IT Operations team and seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer. This pivotal role supports critical security systems with exposure to both on-site infrastructure and cloud environments.Proven experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.Strong Linux / Ubuntu server administration skills.Solid networking knowledge (VLANs, Cisco, etc.).Experience with virtualisation & containerisation (Hyper-V, Docker).Database administration skills (MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL).Familiarity with endpoint security/protection tools.Strong communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement skills.Right to work in the UK and eligibility for security clearance (supported by the company). Responsibilities: Act as the technical lead on customer-facing infrastructure projects.Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and storage systems.Manage patching, monitoring, and system updates.Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.Provide high-quality technical support to both internal users and customers.Implement and maintain security best practices.Produce and maintain technical documentation (network diagrams, configs, guides).Collaborate with wider engineering and project teams.
